Dave is in his 6th year coaching for MLAC and is responsible for the MLAC Senior Group. Prior to his current position, Dave has coached both the senior swimmers and the age group teams and has been responsible for a wide range of administrative duties.

Dave started swimming competitively at age 6 and enjoys giving back to the sport that has had such a profound impact on his life. Through competitive swimming Dave learned the value of hard work and discipline and his efforts as an age group swimmer paid off with honors including 2-time Jr. National champion in the 200 IM and 6-time New York state high school champion and state record holder in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly. Dave went on to swim at Stanford University where he was a member of the 1986 and 1987 national champion swim teams and he competed at the highest level at both the NCAA Championships and the 1988 U.S. Olympic Trials. Dave lives in the Sunset Hills neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon with his wife, Kelly, and 2 children, Janie and Jake.

Jon Ptachcinski | Senior / Junior

Jon is in his third year of coaching the Senior group with the Aqua Club. He swam butterfly and freestyle for the North Allegheny Tigers in high school, and went to the University of Pittsburgh. Jon is also a chemistry/biology teacher at Mt. Lebanon High School and the assistant coach for the high school team and head coach for the Mellon Middle School team. Jon looks forward to developing a comprehensive weight training program for the shark team. In his free time, Jon enjoys playing the guitar, cooking, training for triathlons, and spending time with his wife, Aylea.

Morgan is returning in her second year of coaching for MLAC. Prior to coaching our Age Group II swimmers, Morgan swam with MLAC as she prepared for her 4th and final year of swimming at the College of William and Mary. For the Tribe, she was a member of the 2007 Colonial Athletic Association Championship team. She attended high school in Springfield, Illinois where she was a member of several state championship relay teams. While in Illinois, she served as the coach of the Panther Creek swim team. Morgan is currently attending pharmacy school at the University of Pittsburgh.

Christina teaches Spanish in Mt. Lebanon at Hoover, Howe and Markham Elementary schools. She graduated from Westminster College with a double major in Elementary Education and Spanish. She loves swimming as well as every other water sport. Christina began swimming when she was 8 years old for the New Kensington YMCA Swim Team where she swam for ten years, then swam for the Valley High School Swim Team for four years. Her favorite stroke was backstroke. She taught swimming lessons at the New Kensington YMCA for 10 years and coached the novice swim team. When not in school or at the pool, she loves to paint, cook, read and hang out with her friends. Christina looks forward to having a fantastic, safe and fun year here with the Mt. Lebanon Aqua Club!!

Sarah is a Duquesne graduate and former varsity athlete and conference finalist in the backstroke for her team. She grew up in New Kennsington and swam for the YMCA team growing up. She is very positive with the swimmers and a good motivator.
