Learn To Swim

Learn to Swim lessons are offered seasonally for children 4 years old and up.  Lessons take place at the Mt. Lebanon High School indoor pool for all sessions with the exception of the summer when the lessons are held at the outdoor pool behind the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department.  For your child to get the best from these lessons, he or she should be able to hold onto the side of the pool, go to an instructor easily, and be able to pay attention in a group of 3 swimmers.

Our Learn to Swim program is designed to take the very beginning, but willing, swimmer and teach them the basics of swimming ability.  It will enhance and refine stroke development for the more advanced swimmer.  For a better understanding of our program, please visit "Swim Lessons" (found under the Parent's tab from the MLAC home page) where you will find an explantion of our program and its levels of advancement.

There is a 3:1 student to instructor ratio.  MLAC does not offer refunds.  If you are not sure whether or not your child is ready for this type of lesson, we are happy to work with you to find the best placement for your child.  If you are not sure, please contact us prior to registration.

Session 1:  10:00am-10:30am
Session 2:  10:30am-11:00am
Session 3:  11:00am-11:30am

All Winter 2012 lessons are at the Mt. Lebanon High School indoor pool.

Registration is CLOSED for the Winter 2012 session.  Please check back soon for Spring 2012 weekday Learn To Swim. 

MAKE-UP DATE FOR THE SNOW CANCELLATION WILL BE SATURDAY, MARCH 31 

MLAC Winter 2012 Learn To Swim will be held:

January 7th, 14th, 21st - cancelled due to weather
February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
March 3rd, 17th, and 24th, 31st (make up for 1/21)


Spring 2012 Weekday Learn To Swim
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!


Session I:  Ten, 30-minute lessons held weekdays between 6:00pm-8:00pm

Weekdays:  April 10, 11, 12, 13, 14*, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.  *Lesson held Saturday, April 14th 10am-12pm

Session II:  Ten, 30-minute sessions held weekdays between 6:00pm-7:00pm

Weekdays:  April 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, May 1, 2, 3, 4. 

Cost is $100.  Spring 2012 Learn To Swim is held at the Mt. Lebanon High School indoor pool.
