PIRANHAS SUMMER SWIM TEAM

Piranhas Swim Team is a competitive swim program for children ages 6 to 18 years old as of June 1, 2011.  The swimmer must have basic stroke ability and be able to swim at least one length (25 yards) of the pool in freestyle and backstroke.  The program runs June 20, 2011 through July 30, 2011 (6 weeks) with weekday practices from 9:45 to 11:00 am.  There are seven optional meets, on Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings.

REGISTRATION

Registration is now closed and NO late registrations will be accepted.  The MLAC Waiver/Release of Liability form must accompany all registration forms as well as a photocopy of the child’s birth certificate (returning team members need not provide a new copy, if on file).  Thank you and we hope to see everone back next year!

*Reduced costs are available for Mt. Lebanon Aqua Club members (MLAC year-round swimmers)

PARENT MEETING & VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

Each parent is needed to volunteer to make the program successful for your child(ren).  Please sign up for a job on the volunteer sign-up form that will be provided at the mandatory parent meeting on the first day of Piranhas at 10:00 am (the meeting lasts about 15-20 minutes).

EQUIPMENT

Team equipment for Piranhas is encouraged.  It is recommended that the swimmers have a one-piece swimsuit and goggles.  Many swimmers wear swim caps as well which are available upon registration.  

This year, a navy blue team suit with *NEW* Piranhas logo will be available. Suits may be purchased through the Piranhas Swim Team ($31 for girls' one-piece suit with logo, $24 for boys swimming shorts with logo) or you may buy your own navy suit and we will add the logo for a nominal fee.  Suits will be Dolfin brand (makers of Dolfin Uglies).
