PiranhasPIRANHAS SWIM TEAM: is a competitive summer swim team, for children ages 6 to 18 with basic stroke ability, and who are able to swim at least one length of the pool (25 yards) in freestyle and backstroke. It runs from June 15 through the end of July, with weekday practices from 9:45 to 11:00 a.m. There are seven meets, either on weekday evenings or on Saturday mornings. Cost is $125 for Mt. Lebanon residents, $145 for non-residents. This price includes a team t-shirt. Age is as of June 1, 2009. A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate must be provided at registration. Previous Piranhas' swimmers will most likely already have a birth certificate on file. Registration dates are May 2 and 16, 9 to 11 am and May 6, 7-8 pm all at the Mt. Lebanon Rec Center. Forms will be provided at registration or can be printed off the links below. A waiver must accompany all registration forms. **NEW THIS SEASON** Only 50 children per age group-registration is first come, first served (8 & under and 9-10 fill up first). There will be a $25 late fee for anyone who registers after the above registration dates. Every swimmer will receive a team T-shirt with registration. There is a mandatory parent meeting during the first practice, Monday, June 15. This brief meeting will enable coordinators and head coach do go over team rules, suggestions and parent responsibilities; and parent's a chance to ask questions. This is also the time to sign up for volunteer spots at meets.
