MEDIA RELEASE POLICY

MLAC recognizes the power of media to promote, support, and recognize the accomplishments of its members and the operations of its business.

Photography Standards

All photos, videos, and/or recordings must observe generally accepted standards of decency, in particular:

• Action shots should be a celebration of the sporting activity and not a sexualized image in a sporting context.

• Action shots should not be taken or retained where the photograph reveals a torn or displaced swimsuit.

• Photos, videos, and/or recordings should not be taken from behind swimming blocks at the start of a race or exhibit a child climbing out of the swimming pool.

• Photos, videos, and/or recordings should not be taken in locker rooms, bathrooms, or any designated changing area. 

 

Media Release

I hereby grant full permission to the Mt. Lebanon Aqua Club to use my/minor's name, likeness, and voice, as well as any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of Mt Lebanon Aqua Club events/activities in which I/minor participant may appear and to produce, reproduce, exhibit, broadcast, edit and/or digitize the resulting images, videos,  and materials in MLAC training or marketing materials, films, telecasts, exhibitions, web sites (for file transfer and sharing), and social media. Any photos or videos are for the purpose that MLAC deems appropriate and is consistent with MLAC's status as a non-profit organization, including but not limited to use in connection with MLAC for any legitimate purpose, including in advertising and promotion of Mt. Lebanon Aqua Club.

 

I hereby release MLAC and/or anyone acting on their behalf, from any claim, liability, or obligation in connection with the images and materials, and any uses thereof, including claims for defamation, invasion of privacy or copyright infringement. I understand and agree that I will not receive any payment, royalties or other compensation and that I have no right to enjoin development, production, distribution or exploitation of the images and materials. If any provisions, terms or clauses in this permission and release are declared illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions, terms or clauses shall be deemed severable and shall remain valid and binding.

 

I am signing this permission and release with the intention to be legally bound by it, and to bind those acting on my behalf. I am an adult, competent to sign this document. I am signing it voluntarily, having read and understood it.

If I wish to opt-out of the MLAC Media Release, I will complete the MLAC Media Opt-Out Form by 9/21/25.
