SCHOLASTIC TEAMS
Students enrolled in Mt Lebanon School District are eligible to participate in scholastic athletic teams in swimming and diving, once they start seventh grade. While these teams are separate from any MLAC club offering, many of our athletes overlap and participate in both; more, our Coaches overlap between both realms, which enables continuity of training, familiarity of athletes and families, and sustained support. One does not need to be on a MTL scholastic team in order to be a part of MLAC, and vice versa.
TEAMS
MTL Varsity Swimming & Diving
Students in 9th through 12th grade who attend MTLHS are eligible to participate in this Varsity winter sport. Practices are held at the HS Pool, typically six days a week with mornings, afternoons, and weight room sessions. Dual meets are frequent throughout the season, along with one team travel invitational. MTLHS is in one of the most competitive sections in the WPIAL and aims to be successful each season.
MTL Middle School Swimming
Students in 7th and 8th grade who attend JMS or MMS are eligible to participate in this six-week fall sport. Practices are held Monday through Friday at the HS Pool, with dual meets throughout the season and a culminating championship meet.
