EVALUATIONS

MLAC welcomes anyone interested in competitive swimming to schedule a placement evaluation, where a swimmer will conduct an in-water progression evaluated by one of our professional Coaches. Group placement is determined by observable and tangible prerequisites and skills and is made to appropriately challenge the swimmer, promote growth, and tailor training to swimmer's goals and needs.

Evaluations are currently scheduled for:​

Starting September 9th - every Tuesday from 6.30-7PM​

• These sessions for those swimmers who ALREADY KNOW HOW TO SWIM and are looking for a placement evaluation for the MLAC Competitive Programs. Examples of swimmers who should are targeted for these evaluations are those who have completed the MLAC Learn-to-Swim program, another swim team program (USA club, summer league, etc), etc. Swimmers who participated in Summer Piranhas 2025 do not need to complete an evaluation.  
   

• Evaluations will be conducted in the Mt Lebanon High School Pool, which is in the Athletics Building located on 7 Horsman Drive (not the main academic building!). Please use the main athletics entrance door AA-7 and proceed through the lobby to the Pool Deck hallway, which will be on your left. Parking is available along the walkway by the stadium on Stadium Dr, by the pool / AA-7 entrance, and by the Fine Arts building. We ask that you do not park anywhere it says "NO PARKING" or "SPOT RESERVED 24 Hours" or along the oval. The police do frequent the parking lots and ticket. 
   

• Swimmers should come dressed in a swimsuit under their clothes. Designated benches are available to set their towel and clothes on while they are in the water, and we will have our family restroom available for changing afterwards. 
   

• Swimmers should also bring a towel and goggles.
