IMX / IMR
This USA Swimming program encourages swimmers to be well-rounded, incentivizing competing in all strokes over various distances determined by age group and by track.
BEST PRACTICES
As you sign up for meets, you will often see “qualifying times” or “A meet” or “BB meet”… these all refer to what we call in swimming time standards.

Every four years (or "Quad"), USA Swimming establishes time standards based on performance data from all swimmers across the country over the past four seasons. Accordingly, this is always aligned with the Olympics -- "cuts" for each of its major meets, from BB or age group meets through Olympic Trials.

You will also find posted here the time standards for the short course yards (this is the FALL/WINTER season, when we swim 50 yard, 100 yard, and 200 yard (or more) swims in lengths of 25 yards.
